Dyslexia |
The World Federation of Neurology defines dyslexia as "a disorder manifested by difficulties in learning to read, despite inadequate intelligence and social and cultural opportunities". Dyslexia is not strictly just a reversible reading disorder. It is a syndrome of many and varied symptoms that affects millions of children and adults. • Developmental dyslexia is a neurobiologically based deficiency in the acquisition of reading and spelling skills, always in relation to the general mental abilities of the individual. |
